RETRIEVER IN "PIG-NAP"

A singular occurrence is reported from Five Oak Green where Mr H. Jones has a retriever bitch which recently had a litter of ten puppies, five of which died.

It was subsequently found that the new mother had managed somehow to appropriate eight young pigs from an adjoining sty.

It is reported that it was only with some difficulty that she was induced to part with this additional burden.
