JANE AND BRYAN MORE

Jane More, 80. Bryan More, 82.

When did you first begin to realise coronavirus was something out of the ordinary ?

Probably at the end of March.

When did it first impact you in a significant way ?

When a relative was in hospital.

In what way ?

We were only allowed inside the door to hand in articles requested by a relative.

How worried did you become and why ?

Not unduly worried as there was a valid reason for restrtictions.

Are you still worried and why ?

Not unduly.

What were the biggest problems coping with lockdown ?

Having to rely on others (our helpful daughter) for shopping, collecting prescriptions etc.

How did you manage ?

With our daughter's help.

Were there times when you despaired ?

No, never.

What keeps/kept you going ?

Being with my husband and daughter; having helpful and friendly neighbours -- and pets !

What was your lowest moment ?

Haven't experienced one yet, thankfully !

What was your best/funniest memory ?

Jane: Celebrating my 80th on May 6, with Bryan, Ros, two cats and a cake from "cook."

Do you think the government handled/is handling the crisis satisfactorily?

Yes. They have had to deal with an unprecedented situation

Please add anything else of your experiences during the pandemic.

The atmosphere in Nortons Way/Willow Crescent during the early part of lockdown was surreal -- sunny, hot and SILENT. Everyone was carefully and seriously taking the advice.

Were you also affected by flooding on the night of February 9?

Not by flooding fortunately but on the whole we've  coped with Covid-19 pretty well
